We had a great day at District Livestock Judging in North Platte. Our Senior Team consisting Parker Andrews, Drew Farrell, Dylan Naslund, and Grace Wolff recieved 4th overall qualifying them for state. Parker was 9th overall in the Senior Division and Rylie Sexson was 10th overall in the Juinor Division. If you see them congratulate them on their efforts.

Make Buddies Not Bullies
An idea to foster friendship and provide a "safe place" was created by Kilgore community member Tammy Peterson. That idea as then brought to Mrs. Kasner, who in turn created a Donor's Choose project to provide "A Buddy Bench" for the Kilgore Playground. We were all excited to have it delivered yesterday!
Kayleigh (Soprano), Bara (Flute) and Rylie (Alto) were selected via audition to participate in Northeast Community College’s Hawkfest Honor Band & Choir. They traveled to Norfolk and rehearsed and performed with students from across Nebraska this past Monday. Congratulations girls! Way to represent CK!

Our CK JH Volleyball team was at the Bennett County Jamboree today, they fell short and lost both games (0-2 for sets). Lots of learning and growth happening though!

Afternoon session at Youth Science Day included precision livestock management with drones, the mobile beef lab, and a heifer development discussion.
Morning session of UNL Youth Science day went well. Our students learned about smart feeding systems, beef reproduction, and fire management!

Tonight there will be a Community Strategic Planning Meeting. Please come and give your input on our schools strategic plan. We are proud of our school district and are always looking for ways to improve. As a community if we work together we can keep providing a good education to our Cody-Kilgore students. Meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. in the Cody gym. Burger meals will be served.
