Leadership Opportunities for Growth in Nebraska 4-H is a special camp for Panhandle youth in grades 5th through 7th, during the 2021-2022 school year. Members will gain leadership skills while meeting other youth from around the Panhandle. Participants will attend a camp at the State 4-H Camp in Halsey, Nebraska on June 1st and 2nd. The cost of the camp is $85 (check with your local 4-H Councils to see if scholarships are available). At the camp, participants will develop leadership skills, conquer canoeing, master the high wires, and zoom down the zipline. What a great way to kickoff State Convention. We had a great tour with Certified Piedmontese and Lone Creek Cattle Company. Wish the Ag Mechanics, Environment and Natural Resourecs, and Hall of Chapters teams luck as they compete and interview this afternoon.
With Bennett Co. cancelling their track meet for April 7th without a reschedule date, the CK track & field team will now compete at the Alliance meet on April 14th.

2nd Grade celebrated Random Acts of Kindness month back in February. They overheard a CK student in the hallway saying he wanted to be a Professional Calf Roper when he grew up. Mrs. Kasner happened to know a World Champion Calf Roper, contacted him and a pretty cool bag of swag arrived for that student! The "World Needs more Cowboys"!
