KBR Electric is offering a Youth Energy Leadership Camp: for students in Grades 9, 10, and 11. The camp will be held July 10-14. To be eligible to attend you must receive electrical services from KBR and complete an application from by May 1. For complete details and an application form, please see Mrs. Nollette.

UNL is offering Big Red Summer Camps: for students in Grades 10-12. Camps being offered include: Discovering Chickens, Culinary Arts, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Filmmaking, Outdoor Nebraska, Veterinary Science, Weather & Climate Science, and Unicameral Youth Legislature. The Nebraska Governor’s Youth Advisory Council: is looking for new members from Nebraska schools. The council is a group of students, ages 14-19, who share their concerns and challenges facing Nebraska’s youth with the governor and other political leaders. Anyone interested in pursuing this opportunity, please see Mrs. Nollette for an application. Applications are due April 21.

UNK is offering numerous summer camps to students in Grades 7-12. Some of the camp titles include Cybercamp, Strategies for Social Change, Agriculture & Biotechnology, The Math of Chaos & Competition, CSI, Movers, Shakers, & Difference Makers, Physics, Astronomy & Engineering, and a Health Sciences camp. April 27- Attention Cody-Kilgore Graduates who are attending a post-secondary school. A $500 scholarship is available to a past graduate of Cody-Kilgore High School. Download the application at www.cody-kilgore.com Applications are due April 27th, 2017.

May 12 – WESTERN NEBRASKA HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOP: will be held in North Platte July 10-14. This workshop is open to students who have completed two or more years of high school and have an interest in architecture, landscape architecture, or interior design. No prior art, drafting, or design classes are required to participate. Applicants are accepted based on a review of materials submitted with their application. They are accepting only 36 applicants. The cost is $365. You can apply online at architecture.unl.edu/workshop/application. Registration is due May 12.

May 26 – AUTOMOTIVE SUMMER CAMP: is being offered by Southeast Community College in Milford. Sessions include automatic transmission assembly, electrical, engine repair, diesel air brakes and ag diagnostics, and use of scan tool. The camp is being held on June 9 & 10 at a cost of $29. The camp is open to students 16 years old or older. They are accepting only 60 participants. See Mrs. Nollette for an application form. Application forms are due May 26


We are in the process of planning the next tour with Mrs. Ford to Europe. It is scheduled for possible departure dates of March 20th, 2018 – March 22, 2018.
