GAMES ON TODAY: There are rescheduled games for the HS Boys on Thursday. Colome called this morning and they asked to add JV. There will be at least two quarters of Boys JV in addition to the Varsity game. Start time is still 5:00 pm. Please share this with family and friends.

FRIDAY 20TH CONCESSIONS: The 2017 CK track and Field team we will be providing concessions on Friday Jan 20. For those planning to part of the CK track team would you please bring a baked good and sign up for a time to help in concessions. Thank you.

ACA DECA: Will leave for Hyannis on Saturday, January 21 at 5:30 a.m. with a stop in Merriman.

SMALL FRY BB: Monday nights @ 6:30 pm in the HS gym. This is for grades K-5.

LOST: Book titled “The Ranger’s Apprentice” & Chromebook- Blake Schneider. Please bring to the office if you find.

MNAC GAMES: Next Monday the first round of MNAC will be held here in Cody.

Cody-Kilgore boys have a bye and do not play on Monday.

MNAC CONCESSIONS: Will be provided by the CK Booster Club. They are having a baked potato bar, hot dogs, nachos, & beefy nachos! Please plan to attend and watch some great basketball.

MNAC PARKING: We are asking our students, and patrons to please park on the practice field, East of the high school. There is going to be a crunch for parking and this will help us park our guests.


Conference tournaments and activities shall be priced at $5 for adults and $4 for students. Conference passes will be accepted.

Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted free.

College of Architecture Workshops: The College of Architecture at UNL is offering two workshops this summer for students who have an interest in architecture, landscape architecture, or interior design. For complete details and to register online go to:

Short Story Contest: To commemorate Nebraska’s 150th anniversary the Bess Streeter Aldrich Foundation is sponsoring a Short Story Contest. You are to generate a short story that is written in the spirit displayed by Bess Streeter Aldrich in her works while incorporating a theme that focuses on Nebraska’s economy, history, cultural diversity, and/or geography. We are in the process of planning the next tour with Mrs. Ford to Europe. It is scheduled for possible departure dates of March 20th, 2018 – March 22, 2018. Washington DC Trip: May 30 – June 3 2017

8- 12th grade welcome / 7th grade may go if a chaperone goes with them.

Approximate cost per person will be $800.00

There will be a photo stop at the White House (south lawn) and a visit to the White House Visitors Center, which provides information about U. S. presidents past and present.

Head to the World War II Memorial, spend time visiting the world famous Smithsonian Museums, experience the dream at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. You will not want to miss the Air and Space Museum or the American History Museum. National Archives, Washington Monument, U.S. Botanical Gardens, National Gallery of Art, U.S. Navy Memorial and Grant Memorial. These are just a few of the things you can see on this tour.

Follow the Life and Times of the Father of our country. Visit the home of George Washington in the State of Virginia. Step off the coach to visit Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens which stretch over 500 open acres along the scenic Potomac River. Also, view from the coach: the quaint seaport town of Old Town Alexandria, Fort Washington, The Pentagon, and Crystal City, VA.

A brief stop at the Capitol, MLK Memorial and FDR Memorial, a lectured tour of DC and the highlights of the National Mall, plus the must-see experience of Arlington National Cemetery.
